So, things changed drastically this time around in the jailbreaking world. The "Evad3rs" have really caused quite the stir. Unlike past jailbreaks, these guys didn't keep ANYONE posted on the status, even Cydia creator, Saurik. As it turns out, they did this for a reason. They made a deal for $1M with a shady Chinese company, TaiG, to sell it to them first, and create a Cydia alternative, that even included a pirate App Store. No to mention backdoors so ANYONE that has this program installed (only installable if you have Chinese set as your language) has their info sent to this shady company. That said, this is the exact reason that jailbreaking is coming to an end. There is already a bill in Congress to make it illegal, and these chumps pull this crap. In the past, everyone in the jailbreaking community has helped each other, but greed has finally taken over. No one was alerted to the status of their jailbreak, and the only reason that it was released this early is because GeoHot (George Hotz, creator of several PS3 jailbreaks, and jailbreakme) was about to release his own and sell it for $350,00-, undercutting the Evad3rs.
